CaineM Posted November 3, 2011 Share Posted November 3, 2011 Was out flicking some lures last night and couldn't get the electric to hold course (with autopilot on) while fishing. It would turn around on it's own accord and wouldn't respond to the foot pedal. Thinking this must have been to a low battery. Anyone else had the same experience? Guest Posted November 3, 2011 Share Posted November 3, 2011 low battery or the servo is on its way out,I had that problem with my rt55 bow mount and sent it back for repairs and good as gold. Now I have an 80lber that I got from Huey and it has worked a treat. bream111 Posted November 6, 2011 Share Posted November 6, 2011 It may be just a coincident. I was having the same problem with my older Minn Kota. Then it stopped working altogether. I contacted BLA and spoke with one of their technicians. He indicated that there were 2 small magnets that probably had rusted in the foot pedal mechanism. I sent the foot pedal back for inspection and they replaced it with a new one (still under warranty) Oddly enough the excess turning of the motor has now ceased.
