PB Bream in the harbour

Recommended Posts

Went out for a fish on Saturday with a few mates, the plan was to go out for kingies but it was pretty quiet. So we decided to head up into Greenwich for the first time ever to throw some plastics around. This 45cm bream was the end result :yahoo:

The Bream was safely released to fight another day. I heard that bream grow 1 cm each year would that make this fish close to 40 years old???

Cheers Brenny.

:1yikes: what an awesome bream, that things huuuuge! Awesome of you to release it too. I dont know exactly how much a bream will grow a year but i have often heard bream of 30cm is anywhere between 20-30 years. Im happy o be corrected about that as I would like to know if its correct or not too

nice bream there anything over 40cm takes about 20 to 25 years to grow id put that bream 30 years plus and 2.2 kilos had a book with all the details on breams off the top of my head 5-8 years to get to 25 cm and 1cm every year after that i could be slightly wrong .
