Guest hawkesbass Posted November 16, 2011 Posted November 16, 2011 Went for a bass fish after work even though it was raining i always have the rods and wet weather gear in the car got to my usual spot and started flicking the jitterbug around over the weed beds using a wind and pause retrieve after about ten or so casts got my first hit but did not hook up two casts later got a hookup from a fish of twenty cms promptly released after a few more casts the jitterbug got monstered by a bass that dived into the weed bed after a little bit of coaxing the bass swam out from the weeds and was landed bass measured thirty cms promptly released changed lures after this and comtinued to cast for another twenty minutes for no hits and decided one last cast as the rain was getting heavier this resulted in a bass of fifteen cms landed and released left after one hour as the rain got a bit too heavy to work the surface lures Cheers trevor
