twinfisher
Talking to a bloke at the boat ramp the other day about marine radios, he reckons there is a licence fee. I observed that he didn,t have one himself. I didn,t think that was the case, but it,s been playing on my mind for a couple of days as i seem to recollect that some years ago there was. I might be wrong, can anybody help out .
Bashir
You don't need one for 27mhz, but you do for VHF. I still haven't got around to getting my vhf licence.
joem
The fee he might have been referring to I think no longer applies. Initially a license was charged, but some years ago the licensing of both systems (27 Meg and VHF) was changed to a Class Type of license without a fee. I think the fee paid for the VHF repeaters that were built. Dont think it's applicable any longer. Joe
