cheers Posted February 12, 2012 Share Posted February 12, 2012 (edited) I have had enough of my JW water snake elect motor. It has broken down on me 4 times now & it's time to get a Minn Kota. I have had it for just over 3 years. The first 3 times it has failed with the same problem of water getting in the electrics in the top of the motor. They fixed this for me for free but they jumped up & down about the last time. I would only leave the motor on the boat over the odd weekend & if it rained water would get in it. The last time it was fixed I used silastic to seal it up. This time when it failed (yesterday)the motor wouldn't turn at all.(battery fully charged) I have had it. These are cheap motors but are crap. Like every thing else Jarvis Walker make,crap. What ever you do DON'T BUY THIS BRAND.
