mrsswordfisherman Posted March 7, 2012 Share Posted March 7, 2012 On 6/3/12 Water Police were notified an Emergency Positioning Indicating Radio Beacon (EPIRB) had been activated 30 nautical miles from Port Stephens. Chopper 1 from Williamstown RAAF base was dispatched & located the upturned vessel. 5 Victorian men were winched from the upturned hull & taken to John Hunter Hospital. A great ad for EPIRBs!
