ashisnothereman
Hi, New to forum and very new to fishing. starting to get the hang of it with a few recent catches Spit Bridge caught several undersize tailor like this one at the pylons. had two very large hook ins, but they both managed to shake off in the shallows. damn. all tailor released caught what i beleive to be a seapike of some sort. kept him for bait. Avoca (saturday) despite all the sea weed intercepting my line i managed to hook this decent flathead in the gutter with the pike as bait. very pleased with this catch getting there! cheers! ashisnothereman
oh right, yeah - the tail looks heaps whiting - the head is hard to see from the picture... haha rigor mortis set in so couldnt straighten the fish out. but yes at first i thought whiting! and was disapointed. ive read longfinned pike taste okay, but ive also read they taste horrible but are great baits so used for bait and was rewarded! cheers, it was a pleasure catching that flatty. J Hooked
Yeah it does look a tad out of wack. Great bait though. Once you start fishing your pretty much hooked for life. I started at 8 years old and I'm 45 now. Enjoy.
