    I haven't had any troubles with mine either. I've had my rods at 90 deg and 45 deg. Are you using lures for trolling, or lures for spinning to troll?

    Top effort on your first jewie! I'm looking forward to the cold nights, hot coffee and waiting for that reel to screeeeeeam! I was out on the Georges last Sunday night with my son on our boat and got interrupted by the water police. They came next to us at the wrong time. The result? we got busted off! Oh well, this Sunday night we'll try again! J

    That happened to me and my mate at Sow and Pigs two weeks ago. My mate got busted off on the reef. Mine ran about 100m North. I had about 10kg of drag pressure on it and it stripped line as if there was no drag at all. Popped my 60lb leader around one of the markers. Run away freight train! J

    Good effort mate. I Went out on Thursday morning sounded nothing. Caught several throw backs, Went out off Bondi, the sounder looked like the Sahara. Returned under Capt. Cooks bridge and caught 1 BIG BREAM! Go figure No yakkas No Squid. 1 Bream Always next time I suppose

    I agree. That's a large hook for a nipper. Circles work great. Don't strike until the rod loads so you don't pull the hook out of it's mouth. Leave the rod in the holder. The fish hook themselves.
