Hey raiders,

Last saturday i went down to the harbour to have a go at some late season action on the pelagics. The day started off well with my brother nailing a 67cm kingy on a live yakka under a float. The action slowed down until about 9am when the trevally and bream came on the bite. Nailed around 3 trevs and a few nice bream as well as a nice flatty and a few bust-offs from possible kingfish or really big trevally. Later on in the day i caught this beautiful reef fish which i later identified as a threadfin bream thanks to yowie. It measured 17cms.

Cheers Steve

I was landbased. I fished the run in and run out tides, the kingfish was caught during the run in however most of the bream and trevally came on the chew on the run out, best bait on the day was fresh school prawns and pilchards. The rig was a simple one, a 1.2m trace of 10lb fluorocarbon to a size 4 baitholder hook and a very small running sinker.
