scrubby53
Met up with Luderick_Angler (Royce)for our usual breakfast & coffee then we were off to meet Hawkesbass (Trev) & Royce's mate Reg at our chosen spot on the harbour. Armed with some top weed we were in with a chance of getting some good fish & we weren't dissapointed. With a handfull of burly thrown in Reg gets nailed on his first drift. After a good fight he was in the bag. From then on it was fish after fish coming in with some fish reaching the 43cm mark landed by the boys. At the end of our session we had 21 fish in the bag & about 20 that were either dropped or busted off between us with a couple of stonkers that would have went over the 45cm mark. It was then back to Royce's place for a couple of beers & some smoked blackie fillets that Royce had done on the barbie & reflect over our top day of fishing. Cheers Paul Brag mat 1 (Custom).bmp Brag mat 2 (Custom).bmp

They were tea tree branches along with some cedar shavings to give it that extra flavour.
nosquid
Sounds like an awesome outing guys…… Wish I was there to join you on the fun….Man 43cm is a good fish. Those filets would have been a real treat. Having withdrawn symptoms as I have not wet the line in ages and well, it’s not looking any good for the next 2 weeks at least. Anyway at least seeing those photos, is reminding me how good the fishing can be with great friends. Yeah the last of the luderick we caught last time, I smoked 2 and they were beautiful Royce. Hmmm Well definitely a change to the last outing that you guys fished on the ocean side you sure did come out trumps agin this time. Hope to join up with you soon.. once the little guy gets better.
