Reggae Posted July 24, 2012 Share Posted July 24, 2012 Hi All, Just wondering if anyone can share some tips and spots to target John Dory in Sydney Harbour. I am yet to catch one of these fish. rjc123 Posted July 24, 2012 Share Posted July 24, 2012 Your best bet is to catch a few yakkas. They are by far the best bait for dory. Also, trim their tails to make them easier for the dory to catch. Places like Balmoral, Spit and sailors bay are good starting points. Near the baths at balmoral has worked for me, couple years back smashed them at the basin but last year could not find a single one have not tried this year.
