gianniz
I'm considering driving down to newport for some beach fishing and sightseeing. Once in a life time to poke the whale right? Also wouldn't mind taking chunk out of the whale for bait plus to eat! lol (see what the fuss is about!) Anyone thinking the same??

Anyone thinking the same?? might wanna check if that's legal? it is an offence in Victoria: http://www.austlii.edu.au/au/legis/vic/consol_act/wa197593/s76.html (but i'm guessing you might just be kidding, right )
ginko
I think there are public bbq's in the picnic area there, so I might see you there with a flensing knife.
Robofish
Bad news for the whale but last time that happened (April 2011 I think) the shark fishing in the area went nuts! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

cut_loose
There would be fish/sharks around it, but i would imagine it starting to smell after a while though !
anthony1
I have seen one of these washed up on the breakwall up at Harrington. Great sight up close but someone came up with the bright idea of using a forklift to move it but as soon as the forks pierced the whale an almighty stenchded came out and cleared the breakwall in seconds. The smell traveled all through the town and caravan park. I'll never forget that one. They ended up burying that one in the sand dunes.
