My mate who just got married asked if I could take him and his family fishing before they go back to new Zealand. Got to the beach at about 4:40. Everything rigged up and in the water by 5:10. Was quiet at first then at about 6:30 everything happened. In a span of 2 hours we got 5 salmon and lost 1. At one point I threw the bait out and before I could flip the bail over the fish had it and was running. All the fish were caught on half pillies the full pillie was not touched. This has been the case for the last few times I have hit the beach. I did not weight the fish but they went 63, 61, 59, 55 and 46cm.
