Allen M Posted September 13, 2012 Share Posted September 13, 2012 Does anyone have an idea to improve the smoothness of the drag on small spin reels at the cheaper end of the market ? Eg adding more drag grease to all washers or smoothing the metal washers with super fine emery cloth Any suggestions would be welcome, just trying to get the most out of my $ 30 reels etc Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

slinkymalinky Posted September 13, 2012 Share Posted September 13, 2012 In a $30 reel the metal drag washers will be poor quality and both the metal washers and whatever passes for the 'fibre' washers (quite probably teflon) won't really be able to be improved much.
