Davemmm
The title says it all i suppose. I am thinking of getting a vacuum sealer unit and just want to know which models have flaws and which ones are the ones to go for. Thanks in advance Dave

LeoB
G'day, Buy the biggest one you can afford. The smaller ones get hot pretty quickly, and need to cool down halfway through the job. Cheers Leo Cheers Leo
adjustedpete
I bought one from deals direct, $58. Works a treat. The biggest issue is bags. Dont skimp on them, its the diff between sealing well or not.
grandad
Hi Dave I bought one from one of the cheaper retail stores, It worked the first time I used it, the second time I got it out it would not work. It was replaced under warranty, The first time I used the new one it went OK, the second time I tried to use it, it would not work so it was returned to the store for a refund. I now have a Sunbeam food saver vac 440, it works fine but soon overheats, so I can only seal a bag every 2 to 2 1/2 minutes. If you buy one see if you can find out what the cycle time is. Hope this helps Grandad
