josamill
Have caught 2 bronze whalers off Palm Beach but it was about 15 years ago and I've forgotten what the heck I did! A mate is keen to give it a try with me, and I am keen to get any tips. So far my plan is.........a big mullet fillet on a double snell, sliding star sinker. Beach rod, 30kg braid and 40kg leader (i know I didn't use wire last time). High tide at 8-10pm and obviously fish a gutter. Also, can anyone recommend a beach between Mona Vale and Manly that they have caught sharks at just to save the drive to Palm Beach.
tw9635
Off the rocks ate plain beach towards the side with the pool, if you walk around a bit there is plenty of sharks, mostly only reef sharks though.
Pongrass18ft
Use slimey mackeral for bait is a better choice. Dee why beach is awesome for sharks and you never know a jew is a good chance there too. Was there last year with a mate and had a ball. Bring wire as there are some XL sharks that come through there. Goodluck Chris
