A.dawg
Quick facts Previous lure pb jewwie 79cm 3.5 kg estimate. Pb bait jewwie 108cm 11kg Rod :3-6 lb loomis Reel twinpower 1000fc Line: 4 lb bass hard 6 lb fluro FC rock leader Lure: 110mm squidgies flick bait in color evil minnow Jig head: 9gram I've been hitting the cooks George's and harbour for jewwies the past few weeks on the kayak. Have had ok success on the soapies. Mate called at 9pm and asked if I was keen for a land based flick after work in the harbour right after work. Finished work 10:30 got there at 11ish rigged up some plastics and started flicking in the rain. Few lure changes and at about 11:45 this fish was pulled up. 6kg 90cm and very fat fish. Took a very long time to bring in as the current was rushing really quick making it almost impossible to gain line on the twinpower. Weather was crappy with light drizzle and small breeze rolling made it a pretty warm night. Had a few other hits most likely flatties and dropped another Jew (soapie) so all in all worth staying out in the cold. mr.e.p.d
Super effort . That Jew has been eating well, it's a good sign. Sounds like it was a good battle and ended with the best result .

rjc123
Lovely Jew Alan! Well done! Very fat fish. Your brave going so light but man landing a 20kg Jew on 4lb would be a great achievement. Cheers, Tom

squidboy
Nice effort. I landed my first plastic Jew on six pound, one of the best fights encountered in my fishing times. Was it caught at any depth of water? I got mine in only six meters
