Plait Gathering

Just a question for the more experienced............when I tie a Plaited double,I make it about 100mm long. Tying it isnt a problem but when I do a drag test on the rod and put tension on the gear, it gathers....what am I doing wrong???

Thanks mate, i will try that. I thought I got a fair bit of pressure but maybe I dont. it gathers from the rod tip end, not the leader end- I will post some pics tonight to give you a better idea.

Im with Burnsy, your not pulling the plait tight enough as your tying it. Once tied it should have a nice curve to it if tied correctly.
