Suzuki DT85. Help with build date please.

Hi Raiders,

I'm hoping someone out there might know what year this model number is please;

DT85. 8501 011924.

I have searched high and low and have no idea. I currently have a 93 model DT85 and looking at buying the above-mentioned motor for parts.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Rod, my mate has a similar engine DT 85 - 8501-003144 & it is a 1981 model, your serial no is about 8000 after so who knows how many we're made , but after searching the net I did find a listing which broke down all the years, I did save it but then Computor crashed & all was lost , when I get time I will try & find it for you , as you are part of the "Rod brotherhood ". !!!!!
