dean
Travelled down to Brogo to fish the first hobbie bass kayak round. It was an enjoyable day, but I really struggled with the fishing and only landed a couple of small fish, I did pick up a few new techniques for next time though. Well done to everyone who landed fish on the day. Fortunately the rivers are still fishing well, the bass have spread out a little after all the rain and no ep's where landed this trip. The morning sessions were most productive, the one afternoon/night session was a little slow, I don't think the southerly pushing through that afternoon helped. Fishing only surface again, Fizzers, buzzbaits and jitterbugs all caught fish. Also did a little exploring this trip and found some nice water high up, lots of potential but not many fish. The dry summer really affected the bass migration this year and I'm finding most fish lower down in the system. Cheers, Dean
bassboy888
Nice river bass once again dean! In some awesome scenery as well. Looks like the buzz bait claimed a few again. Bad luck on the hobie round though, best thing about them though is you learn new techniques pretty quickly!
PRED-ATOR
Hi Dean, Those are some nice bass! and in such pristine environments you can be forgiven for not landing any and just taking in the sights. Cheers,

dean
Bassboy, that's comp fishing. Not my first doughnut and probably not my last. Still fun and yeah you always learn something new. The buzzbait did account for a few, one of my favorites. Good luck at Glenbawn, should be a good weekend. Predator, I love spending time on the rivers, always so much to see. The fish are a bonus. Poddy trapper, had the place to myself again. The locals must have there own secret spots.
