trout in the nepean?

Hi Guys,

Nepean is pretty swolen at the moment and the dam spilled over from what i saw on the news.

do you think trout will be in the nepean and will it be too hot for them?

their will be lots of fish go over the wall as for the water temp running water is often cooler than still

They will definitely be in there but they will be few and far between. If you want trout just go an hour and a bit west and there are plenty in the streams and dams just over the mountain. If you want to go and hit them sometime give me a yell.

Spent the last week in Vic and haven't heard of any reports yet but if the dam has spilled the trout will be there. If you can get up into the warragamba river it will increase your chances of getting a few.

thanks for thr advice guys, im thinking of using minnows representing small trout and small fish most likely white in colour.

Anyone got any lure recommendations?

I saw that last year. I was living in Merimbula at the time and came up to visit friends with ultralight gear in tow for a flick. I went along the banks of the Nepean and saw people killing 10cm long bass (I know it isn't illegal but it is hardly worthy) and rubbish everywhere. I grew up in Emu Plains and to see my home local area in that condition just made me shake my head and walk away.
