Krispy !
Headed out from the harbour yesterday with some relo's to do some reef fishing for the first time. Beautiful conditions, wind was non existent and water was very calm. We were using strips of squid and pilchards in water depths ranging from 50-70 metres. It started off slow but the fishing picked up with a steady stream of fish coming in. We caught a pigfish, around 8 morwong, a snapper, 10 nannygai, 6 blue spot flathead and a big gurnard throughout the day. We finished up at 12 and headed home from a very enjoyable trip on the water. These are not all the fish as we split the catch between families.
Fish-On
Nice haul, always wanted to head out deep and fish the reefs but never gotten around to it. Your post has definitely motivated me to get out and give it a go over the Easter weekend. We're you using a patinoster or running sinker? Circle it J hooks?
