Hi Guys,

Looking for some advice. Its been many years since i have caught one of these elusive buggers. Over 15 years ago i caught pleny between Birchgrove and Ball head Point. For the life of me i cant find any these days.

I have been telling my 6 year old boy we will get one next time and again we fail.

Just wondering where in the Habour or around Brooklyn would get me a result?

If your in a boat you could try flint and steel just out of brooklyn 1/2 hour either side of the high tide, 3 1/4 moon and southerly is best and really fresh bait like tailor or squid, other places down there that we have always got a schoolie is anywhere in cowan creek like akuna bay just walk up the bank and try to find somewhere where this is a prominent outcrop where you will get an eddie, and last but not least be patient thats why we call it fishing not catching.

Thanks for the reply, i am in a tinnie so Flint and Steel sounds good. Are the Brooklyn bridges a thing of the past?

north side of the rail bridge has a nice hole where mooney meets the main river, best when its in flood.
