rasskl Posted July 17, 2013 Posted July 17, 2013 Hi All, Just wondering if its worth using burley when fishing with lures.I understand the theory behind burley when bait fishing but would the same principles apply to get the food chain going? Has anyone tried this? Cheers, Dom
filthmonger Posted July 17, 2013 Posted July 17, 2013 The reason i love lure fishing is you dont have to bugger around with bait and stinky burley. I cant see a reason why it wouldnt be effective though.
Hodgey Posted July 17, 2013 Posted July 17, 2013 GENERALLY, lure fishing is done whilst drifting, walking a bank, wading ... something involving moving. This would render burleying pointless because you would soon move out of your berley trail. That said, if you found a likely spot and wanted to fish it with lures for an extended period of time before moving then it could improve the fish action. Good Luck! Hodgey
ving Posted July 18, 2013 Posted July 18, 2013 it would work, but kinda defeats the purpose of lure fishing me thinks.
