josamill
Hi........I've caught my fair share of salmon from the boat over the years, but only when I've seen birds working, and the surface breaking up. Any suggestions on how to locate them without these signs? My friend got a few right up at McCarrs creek last week, so I assume they are lurking everywhere from offshore to up the river. Very keen to have some catch and release fun with my 7 year old son this weekend, but without seeing the birds, I don't like my chances. Comments or advice welcome! Scratchie
Hey josamill, We worked the headland out the front of barrenjoey last Friday trolling for some really nice sambos. Used 1 bib and 1 skirt. Caught 3 & dropped 3 in 1hr. Great fun! Cheers scratchie!!!
PRED-ATOR
Mate you can sound them up too. If they are deeper, they will ball up. Troll x wrap 15's and you will catch them non stop. Troll the usual spots e.g headlands etc. Theres been a few around at the moment so i like your chances.
