Monster Mako Results 6-7th/08

Just had a look at the Marlin website and the results of the Sydney Game tournament out from watsons bay.Fishing 15 kg line classs only.

The biggest fish was a Mako that weighed in at 206kg by a boat called Everwilling,these guys were at anchor at Browns Mountain.

The biggest tuna weighed in at 37.7kg (yellowfin).

There were 9 other sharks weighed in and they all averaged at 148 kgs.

There was also 60 other sharks tagged and they were estimated around 100kgs each.

Thats adds up to a lot of pissed off Makos cruising around out there.-Dont go swimming for a little while I think.

I'd hate to be on anchor duty that day - hope they gave the poor bugger an electric winch [even if they had an anchor float]!

I think that the top is around the 353 meter mark ,this is coming up from 500m.There seems to be a few smaller "hills" to the S E about 1 mile away.

Rekless seems to have got it, though at one stage our sounder showed 1740'. but it was on its outer limits and may not have been showing an accurate result.
