lambo
i have several rapala green mackrel and blue mackrel cd lures. they do a great job, but now several years old and suffering from salty toothy critters marks, and now the paint is pretty poor. trhey are not easy to get hold of, and also quite expensive to replace (if u can get them) i'd like to have a go at refurbishing them, and wonder what paint to use. was thinking of enamel paint used on model aircraft/trains etc. wud prime first after a light sanding, and then possibly finish with an enamel clearcoat over the colour any ideas ?? cheers lambo
alluring
I don't think I can mention them on the open forum but if you pm me I've heard of some good custom painters who do up old lures. I'm waiting till I have a few more before I send them off but their work looks rad. Cheap too.

Twinfisher 4.9
Those lures have worked for you so far, just keep using them. I think the colours are for our benefit, not for the fish. My best lures, that still work, have next to none paint on them. Steve
