Gday all, wnot a bad weekend outside if you managed to get home before 1200am. We decided to leave at 430 because the wind we knew would be up hard by midday. A light nw wind this morning and hardly a boat to be seen. Got to the heads headed into the dark and wandered into a nice ne swell about 1-2m. Current was running to the south at about .3kn, as we lost speed by that amount, thats your approximate current.

Headed to 60m off manly. Water temp was at 20.3 but sinker was cold. Sounder showed good fish from 30-60m. Thank god the jackets werent here because we found them sth of the heads yesterday. Plenty of good 40+ size mowies around. Cou0le of good snapper around the area as well. Just look for reefy ground and you will find them.

Be aware the spring run of juvenile mutton birds is on and they are very hungry. I think we caught 20 odd today. Released all no harm although a maori m8 of mine loves a feed of mutton bird lol.

Once the tide run was over things went quiet and so did the wind. The nor easter kicked in but was fishable probably helped things as it pushed the drift rate up. Producing 2 nice gurnard. By 1030 the nw moved in and so did we, hit easy 30kn. Came into 40m on the gravel and began to get good hits of tigers and blue spot. Plenty of whales around to throw in the mix as well.

Thats about it.
