Sigma
G'day fellow Raiders, Just joined this site and would like to say what a great site it is! Some fantastic feedback from around the grounds. Well, I have started this topic in hope to get some info regarding Jervis Bay. Few of my mates and myself are heading off on a trip to Jervis bay this Friday and are hoping to get some feedback from anyone that is down there at the moment or has been there recently. We are taking 2 boats out there (18ft & 20ft) to try and hunt some kingies. With the warmer currents making their way south earlier than expected, we thought that we might try the kings in early November even though we know that the kings are usually there in mid December onwards. So, fellow raiders, I hope you can help. Tight Lines to all.....
smoked1
I dont get what you are asking? Sounds like you are going regardless of what reports you get off here. Are you asking for specific GPS marks?

Are you asking for specific GPS marks? Hi smoked1, Sorry about the confusion. Yes we are going regardless but we are trying to get some info if someone has come across any kingie action. basically, are we wasting our time chasing them (as it's still early in the year), or should we target something else? Hope this clears it up. PS: GPS marks would come handy if someone is willing to share
Jewhunter
Moved to fishing chat as this is not a report. Cheers, Grant.
barnzey
Kingfish are in Jervis Bay all year. Have been seeing them there regularly for the last 2 months.
Tulz
The Kings are there, just not in large numbers as yet. A few guys have nailed a few recently around the 10kg mark. We went a couple of weeks ago and there was plenty of bait in the water but we found no Kings.
Sigma
Thanks guys, appreciate the info. Tulz, where did you guys fish....inside the heads or outside? Sorry Mods, new to the forum and thought that this would be in the "reports" section.
locodave
Was there a month ago and struggled to find live bait. We got no kings so we are planning to go from december onwards. Wasnt much exciting action actually.
Tulz
We fished just inside but have heard that they have been found whilst trolling within 100m of the cliffs.

Sigma
Hi Marto, We're launching from Jervis Bay caravan park (Curambene Creek) in Huskisson. No problems, will let you all know how we go. Hoping to get some action. Anyone know what can be caught around the drum and drumsticks.? Heard it wasn't a bad spot. Anyone willing to share some GPS marks?
