Short fish on the flats before the storm

Hit some local flats with a mate this arvo.

Picked up a bag of live nippers on the way home. Only had 20 in the bag so had to make them count.

Fished a long shank #4 with 3lb flouro carbon straight through on a 2500 ci4 stradic and a 1-3kg 7ft shimano lure project rod. Great set up for the type of fishing i was doing.

Caught 2 32cm whiting and 2 legal bream. Let the bream go, because they taste shitty, and kept the whiting for a feed.

Wouldve caught more, but a cormorant and a pelican turned up and spooked all the fish.

Just as we fished the last nipper, the storm rolled in.

Great start to the weekend.
