All the reading on the net at the moment points to a Furuno 587 stand alone sounder with a 1 kw thru hull transducer to be the best quality for the bluewater fisherman. What are you using and what are your thoughts. Anyone running a TM260 1kw transducer. Are you getting clear readings at speed or at least trolling speed. Marking fish at trolling speed?
