I'm a mechanic and one of the very first things I learnt when learning to drive is that you should check your temp gauge as much as you check your speedo, it's right next to it doesn't take much time out of your day to check it lol. i speak for my self and what ive said has come from my own experiences, i just scrapped a whole car because of a blown cylinder head
