without a doubt if its fair game they'll take it kings are opportunistic feeders, just think of the boils from bonitos can u imagine the kings lurking below?

if u can find the tailors i'd give them a go too

I've heard that mac tuna are gun bait for big kingies that's why I assumed bonito wouldn't be too bad. The only problem is that you need tuna tubes to keep them for any length of time.

I'm going to troll small metals around the cliffs and once I get a small tailor, bonito or salmon it's going straight in. We will be using 24kg gear so I hope it's enough!

pretty sure i seen someone on the internet or youtube make up tuna tubes from cheap PVC piping might be worth a look :biggrinthumb:

Kings LOVE bonito.

Biggest problem is keeping them alive for a good amount of time.

Pin them really lightly and when you catch them, try and bring them in as fast as you can, have everything setup ready to go and get it straight back in the water.

They are nowhere near as hardy as fish like yakkas, but they will tempt big kings.
