Paikea
Waiting in my Physio's rooms earlier today I saw the following pics of a residential area on Dauphin Island that had been hit by Hurricane Ivan in 2004 and again by Katrina in 2005. The homes were built on wooden piles driven into the sand island. The hurricanes washed a lot of the sand away leaving the houses either destroyed or sitting precariously on their now exposed piles many meters above the sand. Makes you wonder how people cam to build there in the first place. Cheers Paikea
