Rah Posted March 7, 2014 Share Posted March 7, 2014 G'day Raiders, Finally had a few hours spare to try some soft plastics, so headed down to the cooks river at the Illawarra rd bridge. Only my second time having a go at sp's so I didn't have high hopes of catching anything, just wanted to try some different retrievals. Got a few bites so I was pretty happy with that. But mum came along to practice her casting and landed a nice bream at 26cm. Out fished by mum. Ha ha ha. Needless to say she was cheering over catching a fish first time with sp's. Caught with a 2" grub in motor oil. 1/16 jighead. God only knows what kinda retrieval she had going as she asked me only minutes before if she was supposed to let it sit like bait or wind.
