00ROTA Posted March 14, 2014 Share Posted March 14, 2014 Not really a question as I'm sure I know the answer! I have been targeting kings landbased for a bit now, and all I can come up with is rats! Tried live yakkas, live squid, fresh dead squid, squid strips, garfish, pilchards, rapala xraps, soft plastics in 5"-6.5", even tried swearing at them, and still the largest I have managed is 55cm, which was on a white 5" jerk shad while trying to get some bonito to live bait! (Was fun with 12lb line with a little stradic 1000fj..) Rat after rat comes up, and nothing notching the magical legal lengths! Persistance is obviously the key, and persist I will!
