brecko90 Posted April 21, 2014 Share Posted April 21, 2014 Hey guys, I'm heading up to the Lake Cathie/ Port Macquarie area to place in some Pro/ams (golf) and going to have plenty of time to have a fish. So just wondering if anyone has been up there lately or heard any reports? I'm land based and staying in Lake Cathie and have tackle for just about any style of fishing.. Witha Posted April 21, 2014 Share Posted April 21, 2014 Mate spent a fair bit of time there as a kid, the actual lake/river is good for your standard estuary stuff, heaps of shallow sand so whiting are usually a good bet. Don't know if the inlet is open to the sea at the moment, but when it is fishing the gutters/ mouth of it can be good, good strucural beach last time I was there.
