AI fella
10 min paddle around the Jibbon headland, I have a penn 650/30lb braid with 50lb FC leader and use a stradic 3000 with 12lb for getting live bait, I try not to use my "flash gear" in the yak as I'm always getting wet!! specially under sail, if your new to yakking I don't recommend this spot unless conditions are calm under 1m swell with light breeze i.e.. today is perfect, tide and swell has to be noted as with fishing any bombie, sounder and GPS is pretty handy and a sea anchor is a must (unfortunately my lowrance went for a swim after a spectacular barrel roll when coming ashore and i need to replace it..), GPS lets you watch your drift which can happen fairly quick out there, make sure your yak is suited for offshore too, when the breeze kicks up out there it can get quite hairy!!
