Scent Blazer Lures
we hooked this marlin a couple of weeks ago about 5nm NE of browns, unfortunately it busted us off, I think it was a blue around 300lb. http://www.scentblazer.com/FishingAdvice/Whatisit/Marlin140522.aspx what do you think? stevefish
I don't think the correct answer is one of the choices going by the shape of the bill.
billseeker
I would say a decent size stripe marlin as the size of the top fin and the long skinny bill as no colour from the picture can be considered
stevefish
Oops, got me on the pelvic fins, Stripe. As above with the tall dorsal.
REEF MAGIC CHARTERS
Striped marlin but it's a very difficult picture to tell from. Main reason for me is the height of the dorsal fin. Lower jaw is short & wide which would lead me to a blue but the angle could be misleading so I will stick with a stripe Cheers Damo
Scent Blazer Lures
thanks, I reckon its a blue I saw it jump when it took the lure, it looked a little bit fat for a stripe. I have video of it, I'll post it soon, I have shitloads of the videos to post, I just don't have timeNo one makes any serious money from fishing, so I still have to work at my real job It's a pipe dream!!!!! REEF MAGIC CHARTERS
Could be for sure the picture is very hard to tell from.. a few other factors to consider. What lure did it hit?.. what was the water temp?.. Did you see the fish before it took the lure?.. What depth were you in? The video should show better hopefully Cheers Damo
