Berkley Fireline 80lb braid

Hey guys just wondering if anyone has used this stuff & what are your thoughts on it, is it any good ???

A mate has a 1500 yard spool brand new that he want to sell for a $100 was thinking of buying it any thoughts would be appreciated.

My experience with Fireline over 20lb is not good. I have found a fair few reels to have very low knot strength and I wont use it anymore. Could be just the line I have came across though. Why is you mate selling brand new line for?

Take some of the line and test a known knot under some scales. If its good then its good!
