locodave
Hi guys, Has anyone seen the smaller aerials you can get from GME? Just wondering what your thoughts are on these aerials as they are much smaller. Would you get better reception with the larger whip? Thanks! Jocler
I have one of the smaller VHF ones fitted to my boat (450mm I think). I havent had a problem with it, however having said that, you dont know what you are missing either. I have heard one way conversations with Marine rescue and someone else and I have often wondered if I had a longer 1/2 wave aerial whether I would have heard the other half of those conversations. Last weekend I went to have a look at a longer aerial and bases J
roadrunnerparts
You will get better distance with a larger aerial. The higher the tip of the aerial the better. We are a GME distributor, so feel free to contact us
