batfishing
There seemed to be plenty of reports today. Some boats had several, some had one, some had none. Reports were mostly around the 30kg mark. We managed one small stripey, and one 9.5kg Albacore, plus a few hits that didn't take Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
vo2c88
Yeah plenty of chatter on the radio, aboard ANYFIN we ended up with one YFT estimated at 30kg, one albacore and released 4 stripeys. A top day on the water with a great bunch of mates. Browns mountain was more like a carpark with 42 boats counted in the morning makes you wonder how could ghis be sustainable however we didnt hang around for too long and started trolling to loosing our first and biggest yft on the boats hull after a 30 mins fight (spewing). Anyways that's fishing and what keeps us determined for more. Cheers Vo2c88 Edited August 23, 2014 by vo2c88
Shanemills
We managed 5 hookups 3 landed all not far from browns all around the 30 to 40kg range cubing. The long liners were out in close to so plenty of fin around. Hope it lasts a while.
Sillek70
Vo2c88 what part of the fishing / fish are you wondering might not be sustainable ? Edited August 24, 2014 by Sillek70
vo2c88
Having 42 boats bashing the mountain. I guess its a big ocean after all and with bag limits it should be fine however it was a mind opener when at 8.00 am we counted 42 boats at browns
