daarinmacdonald
Hi all. New to Fishraider but wanted to see if anyone else has been to the Tumut recently. I was there a week ago but the river was nearly unfishable because there was so much flow coming from Blowering Dam. Is that normal for this time of year? When does the flow typically lessen? I also spent a bit of time on the Goobragandra but didnt see a single fish despite what appears to be a fantastic looking trout stream. Any thoughts? luderick -angler
The tumut is basically an irrigation canal over summer I have found around march April they back it off! The goob is a great stream how high did you go up? There are trout in the goob just have to work hard for them!
daarinmacdonald
I went up above the trout farm (which appears to be closed) and maybe 500-700 meters above that. Some grat looking water but didnt see a single fish. Also fished for a few hours along the stretch just above the bridge near Elm Cottage.
