fishywang34
Went to Canada Bay this morning for the high tide and got there to see a half sunken vessel, does anyone know what happened? Give it some time and it bill be breaming with fish Anyways, I went to canada bay since it was my first time fishing SP and heard that it was a great place for beginners. Met a guy who gave me a zman grub and jighead cause i was using a 5 year old powerbait that was left in my tackle box. Ended up with 3 flathead ranging from 30-35cm and a small bream. Not bad considering I was expecting a doughnut given my inexperience with SP's. Edited December 20, 2014 by fishywang34
bluebottle18
TOP effort. It is a great place to use lures and you are right it is a good place for beginners. Also experts. I bet you went and bought a few Zman lures that day. Fisherman are a good bunch of guys. Why do`s the government want to make it difficult for us. Those making the rules never have fished. Ryder
Well done mate. It is a great spot to fish. I remember my first bream on fly down there, I had a Kmart jobby and a guy fishing gave me a fly he tied for the spot. It worked. I stopped in a couple of weeks ago to wash weed, and spooked a couple of flatties right up in the shallows.

Funnily enough I headed straight to the tackle store and bought 2 packets of grubz and 2 packets of jigheads.

It was a shame the canals weren't firing.
Ryder
I' haven't been there, but I have word the mouth of the canal in Exile Bay is a great training ground.
batfishing
And no ones mentioned the boat? I reckon they could untie the rope off the rock, I don't think it's doing anything! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD

I worked my way around canada and exile. Can't speak highly enough of it as a training ground.Quiet a battles were fought a metre away from where i was standing. I can now slowly hone my sp technique. And no ones mentioned the boat? I reckon they could untie the rope off the rock, I don't think it's doing anything! The picture was taken at high tide as well Edited December 20, 2014 by fishywang34
Ryder
It looks like an old prawner. No prawning no money no maintenance. I've seen boats sink on moorings just from heavy rain. Today its a boat, tomorrow a Ute, not to mention the shopping trolleys. Just what we roll with, fishing the inner west bayous.
bessell1955
It looks like it has only recently sunk. I would have thought that the harbor authorities may have removed it from the water to stop any fuel leakage. Thus stopping any chance of pollution.
