Simple question, how to use one. What are the available resources. Same for fish finders.

You didn't say if your are using it on a boat, or kayak. But nonetheless, the best bet is read the manual. Take your time getting to know the unit. Also, there's heaps of videos on YouTube and elsewhere on the 'net. You could do worse than just to ask your local tackle store staff. The main thing is make sure that you have the unit installed correctly from the start. A badly installed unit will just be a waste of time and money.

Man, asking "how do you use a sounder?" is like asking "whats the meaning of life". There are so many different brands, variations, features... too much to cover unless you're planning on reading a a university thesis.

You need to be more detailed in questions like this, ask exactly what you need to know and provide all the information you can.

Fair enough. To be honest I don't even know the basics. I will pull up the brand model and look for the Manual.
