aussie1979
Hey guys, Just wanted to know if anyone has had any luck fishing Paddys River just off the hume highway? Went there on the weekend with a mate of mine he owns some land there it looked dirty and muddy due to the rain. We set up yabbie traps and used rods with live worms, bread and a collection of baits. Never caught a yabbie or got a bite on both rods. Should i wait for the water to clear up or is are there no fish there? Also I wass told yabbie traps were banned in NSW waters but was told that a trap is ok to use on private land. not sure if thats true. Thanks guys. MV Sunray
Good question. Caught a leech there once on my foot while swimming in the main waterhole. Supposed to be trout in narrumbulla a bit further south?
zook2001
I have fished it further down at Canyonleigh Rd, didn't see a fish or any empty lure packets which are usually sign of fish, should be carp about, I be surprised if there are many trout there. Matt
There are Trout in the river, mainly Browns. But you have to work up from the Hume highway and its very skinny water. Haven't fished down from the bridge though, although I have heard that the big pool at the bridge holds Redfin. Cheers Windy
