Have an older Evinrude 70 - recently had it serviced, carbs stripped down and refurbed, new coil packs, new leads, new plugs. Motor revs fine all day every day - the second you put it in gear, it will run ok for a bit then conk out. Or struggle / hesitate / stall etc. We've had a few places look at it and everyone says "Yep shes good now" - then we get stranded and it wont start again, or wont rev in gear. It's gotten to the point where we just wont use the boat anymore. Need someone who is actually going to take it for a test run after they have worked on it and not just tank test it. I'm pretty sure Huett is the only sponsor for Fishraider, Someone might be able to PM you a recommendation for someone more local to you. antonywardle Posted January 4, 2015 Share Posted January 4, 2015 Same thing happened on my one. (Evinrude looper 120HP) I took it to Huett marine and they got it sorted.
