Belligero
Hi All,I'm after a fish spike that I can use to dispatch fish when I intend to keep them. Not a fan of belting them with a bat or trying to stab them with a knife due to safety. They are available from the US which is pretty expensive & then comes the drama of importing it. May not be an issue however could be classed as a weapon? Anyway, If anyone knows where I could find one that would be great.Thanks.
RAYp
Hi Mate, Every house has one Try a Screw Driver worked for me over the last 50 years. Cheers RAY
Belligero
I'm after this because of the way you can hold it. In swell it's a lot safer then anything else I can think of.
Guest no one
A screwdriver is the way to go, failing that get a bloody big nail and a thick stick? Personally I use a knife and go through the eyes... i think there is a tool called an iki that does the trick though and pretty damn quick. Google Iki gun. Belligero
Haha the gun does seem pretty cool but a bit over the top for what I'm after.Might have to keep searching. There's one on ebay from QLD, Not exactly what I was looking for but very close.Cheers
SquidMarks
i cant imagine that it would be too hard to make (rather than going to the effort of importing). Even a wine cork extractor could probably do the same job (with a nice twisty action just in case you miss the sweet spot ) all jokes aside, if you are looking for an alternative then google or ebay "awl" or "leatherwork awl", you should find something there that takes your fancy

Ryder
A spark plug wrench, or a Stihl tool could easily be used. Check out mower shops.

Big-Pete
Check out a tyre repair kit , they have a thing to ream out the hole before installing the plug. They are pretty cheap. Big-Pete
Paikea
Just get a Phillips Head screwdriver and sharpen it to a point. Works perfectly and no danger to the holder. Cheers Paikea
