Sydneyfisher12
G'day raiders Over the last week i have been up in port Douglas and have done some fishing When we arrived we went to a local tackle shop and they gave me some Tips and told me to go to palm cove wharf I went there the next day and spent about 4 hours on the wharf for nothing but a big run on a plastic which busted me off. The next day we headed out to the outer barrier reef (right on the shelf) and we saw a lot of fish including a massive gt and plenty of red bass and many other refies and corals. The next day we were heading up to the daintree and on the way spotted a place where you can catch barra in a stocked lake I had the rod in the car and had a go and quickly pulled a nice barra of 74cm they were great fun to catch and take big runs and jump I ended up with 4 and my PB barra of 81cm all fish were caught on SP's. The next day I returned for more fun and caught some great fish including a very rare albino barra (possible new raider record) that went 71cm and a new PB of 83cm that day I totalled 15 fish and had some awesome fun Today I returned again for the last session and got 9 fish biggest going 81cm all caught on 2.5inch lures and 5lb which was really fun especially when they jump After that I went on a charter in the daintree river and it was hard fishing i Managed a few 30cm bream and small trevally and some cod And that was it for a great fishing trip I had a great time catching some great fish Cheers sydneyfisher12
