Katoe Posted January 18, 2015 Share Posted January 18, 2015 Noticed this morning a small patch of oil under the motor had it serviced in Sept and have only used it a dozen times since. Katoe Posted January 18, 2015 Author Share Posted January 18, 2015 Cleaned the area up the discharge seems to be coming from the left hand underneath drain hole. Have read that if run to rich and a lot of trolling being done than it can cause that kind of discharge. bessell1955 Posted January 18, 2015 Share Posted January 18, 2015 Are you sure that the oil is not coming from the exhaust at the propeller? I know that if I run my motor rich as in flushing the engine I do get a small amount of oil discharge from the exhaust. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
NaClH2OK9 Posted January 18, 2015 Share Posted January 18, 2015 (edited) It's absolutely possibly to have oil discharge due to over oiled 2 stroke fuel. I had this very issue a few weeks back and was given great advice in the site. my oil leak looked the same like the same black sludge you have However my oil was comming from the prop area exhaust and I run premix so I couldn't say if yours is the same issue.
